The Art of Placemaking

North American Properties has been a leader in the design and development of the urban town center - mixed use projects like Avalon, Colony Square and Infinite Energy Center here in Gwinnett are projects that NAP currently has under development and expansion.

John Kelley leads the retail and mixed use development platform for North American Properties’ Atlanta office. He brings extensive experience to the company, having developed over 3,000,000 sf of large-scale retail and mixed use projects across the country.

Mr. Kelley will provide:

  • An overview of current projects: Avalon, Colony Square and Infinite Energy Center
  • Activation of real estate through mixed-uses
  • Creating value through providing experiences to customer

During six years as Vice President of Development with Cousins Properties, his most significant projects included The Avenue Forsyth and The Avenue Webb Gin, both award winning mixed use lifestyle centers.
Prior to that, John spent 7 years with AIG Baker Development, LLC in Birmingham, Alabama, developing power center properties.
A native of Atlanta, John earned a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from Georgia Tech, as well as an MBA in Real Estate from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business.
