Reid School of Interrogation & Investigation in Chicago\, Illinois.\n\nWith a 14-year tenure at JCPenney encompassing roles from investigator to customer service management\, Melvin has also distinguished himself through a 23-year career in the U.S. Army\, both active and reserve\, earning numerous awards and medals. His terms further demonstrate his commitment to public service as a Snellville City Councilman\, Vice Mayor\, and as a Georgia State Representative for House District 106.\n\nThe Governor twice appointed Melvin to lead crucial state agencies the Office of Workforce Development and the Georgia Commission on Equal Opportunity playing pivotal roles in workforce training and civil rights enforcement.
